Ultra low and Cryogenic temperature

For ultra-low temperature applications, such as -80°C freezers, a strong and durable sensor is essential to withstand harsh operating conditions.

All of our probes are constructed from high-quality stainless steel and can be installed through standard entry ports, typically located at the top or rear of the unit. This allows flexible positioning within your equipment for accurate monitoring.

Probes can be manufactured to any required length and diameter, ensuring a precise fit for your specific application.

Optional extension cables are available, enabling quick and easy disconnection without removing the sensor from the equipment—ideal for maintenance, servicing, or cleaning.

Our sensors are available in thermocouple Type K or Type T configurations, with a temperature range of -200°C to +200°C.

Incubator sensors

Britannia offers a comprehensive range of incubator sensors, from simple temperature monitoring to complete environmental measurement, including temperature, humidity, and COâ‚‚.

All sensors are installed within the incubator and can be positioned exactly where required. With no fixed placement, you have the flexibility to monitor specific shelves or critical areas with precision.

For maintenance procedures such as high-temperature cleaning cycles, sensors can be quickly and easily removed by the user, reducing the risk of damage.

Engineered for durability, our sensors feature robust PTFE construction with fully potted joints, ensuring reliable performance even in high-humidity environments.

Specialist Sensors

Benchtop incubator and flat plate sensors

Britannia’s specialised bench-top incubator sensor makes temperature monitoring simple and hassle-free.

Featuring an ultra-fine bead tip, it allows accurate measurement without interfering with the normal operation of your incubator. Its slim design enables it to be easily inserted into the gas tube without restriction, or alternatively secured directly to the plate using specialist heat-resistant tape.

Sensors can be manufactured in various lengths and diameters to suit virtually any installation requirement.

Autoclave and Oven sensors

Due to the extreme temperatures encountered in ovens and autoclave systems, a robust and reliable sensor is essential for accurate measurement.

All Britannia sensors are manufactured from high-quality stainless steel and feature a mineral-insulated core, providing excellent protection for the internal sensing element and ensuring long-term durability in demanding environments.

Sensors are available in Type T or Type K configurations, depending on your temperature requirements, with a measurement range of -200°C to +400°C.

A variety of probe lengths are available, and each sensor can be customised to suit your specific application. Installation is straightforward, with probes designed for easy insertion into rear or top entry points.

Fridge and Freezer Sensors

We offer a comprehensive range of fridge and freezer temperature sensors designed to suit any application. Whether you need to monitor ambient air temperature or simulate the temperature of stored products, we provide flexible solutions to meet your requirements.

Our sensors are available in a variety of styles, lengths, and diameters, allowing you to choose the ideal configuration for your setup. In addition to monitoring air temperature, many customers opt to track product temperature for greater accuracy.

This is achieved using a larger probe housed within a specially formulated liquid. This setup mimics the thermal behavior of stored goods, providing a more realistic reading than air temperature alone, which can fluctuate rapidly when doors are opened.

All sensors are thermistor-based, with a temperature range of -50°C to +150°C.

Surface mount Sensors

This unique sensor is specifically designed for accurate surface temperature monitoring, making it ideal for applications such as flow hoods.

The probe features a specially engineered flat base that securely attaches to the target surface, ensuring precise readings. The rear of the sensor is fully insulated to prevent heat loss, allowing for consistent and reliable temperature measurement.

Custom cable lengths are available to suit your specific installation requirements, offering flexibility across a wide range of applications.

Built with thermistor technology, the sensor operates within a temperature range of -50°C to +150°C, delivering high accuracy and dependable performance.

Contact Sensors

With most modern equipment now featuring alarm contacts, monitoring these signals provides complete peace of mind that your systems are operating correctly.

Alarm contacts are designed to trigger when a fault is detected, such as high or low temperature, gas pressure issues, loss of gas flow, or humidity deviations. The specific alarm conditions may vary depending on the equipment model.

These contact alarms can be integrated directly with our transmitters, or connected to our standalone text alert unit, which instantly notifies users via message if any alarm is activated.
