GAS SAFE Series
Britannia's solution for monitoring a range of gases is the GAS SAFE Series. Whether it be a standalone sensing unit, or up to a 32 multi-zone system a solution is available.
GAS SAFE SERIES
The GAS SAFE Series – is a standalone unit with dual sensors monitoring 2 different gas concentrations. Gas combinations can consist of;
Oxygen (O2)
Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
Carbon Monoxide (CO)
Ammonia (NH3)
Flammable Gases (LEL)
Common combinations include;
Oxygen (O2 & Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
Carbon Monoxide (CO) & Flamable gases (LEL)
The GAS SAFE X2 unit comes with LCD Display, power indicator, alarm status indicator, easy user re-calibration function (if applicable) , simple alarm test function, complete with temperature compensation and an analogue output available for use with third party monitoring systems such as our LABSAFE wireless monitoring system.
O2 cell has an approx. 1 year life span*
CO2 cell has an infinate life span*
CO cell has an approx. 6 year life span*
NH3 cell has an approx 2 year life span*
LEL cell has an infinate life span*
* depending on the environment, requires annual calibration to maintain accuracy

Why Do I Need Multi Gas Monitoring?
In a number of environments and situations more than one gas type requires monitoring. At Britannia we offer a range of multi gas detection and monitoring products specifically designed with this in mind.
By combining multiple and different gas sensors in one unit we can provide an efficient and cost-effective solution.
Finally, for the most advanced monitoring up to 32 sensors in a range of configurations can be connected to a main control system.
For enhanced multi gas monitoring and advanced/ bespoke features we have the following;
GAS SAFE X2 Series (X2) - is a standalone, 2 different gas sensor. Optional battery-back-up.
GAS SAFE X3 Series (X3) - is a standalone, 3 different gas sensor. Optional battery-back-up
GAS SAFE X4 Series (X4) - is a standalone, 4 different gas sensor. Optional battery-back-up
GAS SAFE X5 Series (X5) - is a standalone, 5 different gas sensor. Optional battery-back-up
GAS SAFE Series 3 (S3) – is a multi zone sensing unit. Up to 32 sensing units made up of a range of different gases, communicating to a main panel with all zones displayed. Includes automatic fan control, emergency fan activation, supply tank shut off, supply tank override function, battery back-up as standard, alarm indication and reset. Each sensing unit has all the features of the X Series.
The GAS SAFE Series S3 can also be tailored to include additional features that the customer may require. These requests may include;
